My husband and I popped in wanting some authentic street style tacos - did not disappoint. Excellent tacos (we had shrimp tacos with rice and beans). Very friendly service. Food truck with nice, shaded porch seating. We were asked numerous times how everything was and if we needed anything. Did I say EXCELLENT tacos? Yum. We'll be back!
If you want the best and most authentic Mexican food in San Angelo, look no further. Growing up, I'd go to Mexico at least three times a week to go grocery shopping, visit friends and family, and of course, eat delicious food. Every time I eat tacos here, I get that nostalgic feeling of being back in Mexico! The prices are good, the variety and quality of meats is unmatched, and the salsas are very tasty with a liiiiiittle kick.
We ordered the chicken taco dinner to take out--it was ready quickly and was amazing! The chicken was cut into small chunks and (I think) marinated in orange juice or an orange sauce, resulting in tender and flavorful chicken. Generous portions of this orange chicken were served in small soft tortillas (two to each taco) that looked and tasted homemade. The toppings included sweet onions, cilantro, and tomatoes. The dinner consisted of four chicken tacos, rice and beans and both green and red hot sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from Joe's and will definitely be ordering there again.
